Does anyone know anything about this new regulation IMO have come up with?
"The revised IMO Convention on Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Chapter V, which comes into force of 1 July 2002, explicitly requires for the first time that all vessels prepare a voyage plan before proceeding to sea, in accordance with IMO Guidelines for Voyage Planning.
This new Regulation makes a properly prepared voyage plan mandatory, even for small craft".
Does it apply to all passages, even a jolly round the Solent. If so, how are they going to "Police" it.
Interested,
