Man Overboard

After a day on the water i have got all the peace and quiet i can manage and there is nothing better than having twenty-odd people clambering over your boat three times a night in a more or less (usually more) state of intoxication to liven up live on board. :-)))

Worked for me the other week doing my skiing impression from the cruising chute sheet - but then I've got 3 steps in the water. Mind you the 5 kts boat speed made it tricky.

Sobering

I did just about the same thing in Woodbridge Ferry Dock last year, in the dark, in February, having just undergone heart treatment also. Fortunately for me the ebb was well away and I fell into a couple of feet of water only.

I seem to have a different rule to most people here - we always wear life jackets when in or even near the tender, even in high summer, therefore they are not kept on the oilskins, but separately.

I dont find the modern inflatable type embarrassing and they are easy to carry, ashore.
