Man overboard recovery practice

Dates:
We need a date with middayish HW.
Moving on from my first stab which is now a nono.
Next dates are therefore 17/18 Sept which I can't do so will need another organiser
Next ( and realistically last) are 1/2 October. Water will still be warm and the Indian summer will be in full flow. So this gets my vote.

I shall ask the RNLI to come along.

Saguday and LittleSister.

We moved to Weir Quay (what a fantastic spot!) in June 1999, and stayed there for a very happy ten years. I had a mooring just up river, at Hole's Hole.

In those days, we had a beautiful old gaff cutter.

Still got lots of friends down there, and at Bere Ferrers.

After a very challenging few years, WQSC is now undergoing very exciting developments.

Anyway ..... back to the East Coast!

You moved there about the time we stopped dinghy sailing to have kids, we were there from early 90's up to about '98.

Mike and Jenny Dunse? Nigel Baxter?

Yes, back to the East Coast :)

1/2 October works for us (potentially) - Jane's got a few days off then and we're really hoping for an Indian summer so we can go somewhere (anywhere!) by boat

Yes ... we knew the Dunses.

We knew Nigel particularly well, and the beautiful 'Black Cygnet', that he painted white.

Who else?

Mick and Liz Johnson? Gareth Huxtable? Steve Kirby? Malcolm Collingbridge? Carol and Bruce Horner? Ian Heard? Ian Kilpatrick? Dick Brown? Robin and Sue Venables?

Plus loads of christian names, whose surnames escape me.

We are dependent on a) getting Pagan back in the water by then and b) being able to arrange house moves and handovers to avoid clashing with Jane's holiday. So we're tentatively on for it but can't guarantee to make it
