Took a 'Grockle' river 'cruise' up the Tamar to Callington and back the other day. Brilliant day. Great weather. Saw nuclear subs, destroyers, frigates, RFA, 'L' craft and etc. at the dockyard. Avoided the ferry chains with penache. Confirmed my desire to return to my home town of Plymouth. The Barbican is looking very smart these days - different when I was there as a lad. Anyway, I digress. On the return leg of the trip we were just upstream of the Saltash Bridge when we came across two people using a jet-ski. One of the two was standing on a large floating platform type red channel buoy while the driver ran the gauntlet trying to soak/knock off the other person sanding on the buoy. Bit barmy I thought.
What, if any, are the regulations about using official buoys in this way, i.e. recreation. Indeed, what, if any are the regs about using such buoys. Just curious really.
