Mamba drive

Can anyone advise where I can get details/picture/dimentions etc. of the Mamba autohelm drive unit I am told I need to install an autohelm on my Lewmar wheel steering system. I need this thing I,m told along with a Raymarine S2 core system.

You dont say which boat you need to fit this system on.. I have been in the Marine Electronics game for 18 years and fitted many of these units to Bavaria Yachts above 40 feet. I have a new 1/4 Horse power Lewmar MAMBA Drive, brand new, unused in an unopened box for £500. (Normal retail over £1000). Can also supply the S2 Course computer if required.

Last year I fitted a Mamba drive to my Whitlock (now Lewmar) steering, being driven from a Raymarine S3G pilot system.

If the Lewmar bevel gearbox to which you wish to connect the Mamba drive doesn't have an input shaft for the motor, you'll need to either replace the bevel box (as I did) or get the box re-built. Either way there is a VERY long lead-time from Lewmar as all these units are built to order only. I think I waited 3 months.
