Two pubs at the Hythe Quay where the Thames barges moor. (v picturesque!).
Queens Head - nearest the River. Nice enough pub, decent beer and seems to be the place for the barge/old gaffer types to hang out. Jolly Sailors, opposite the barge moorings. Pub is OK but quality of food is so damn variable that I have given up going there. Also seems to run out of beer (leastways real ale) from time to time which is not good for a pub!
My top tips are The Swan Hotel, 'bout 10 mins walk up from the Hythe on the High St - Absolutely cracking home cooked food, I mean REALLy good, and if you are looking for a little bit more upmarket April 13th Restaraunt which is also on the High St, slightly nearer the Hythe.
