Making oak laminated plywood floor panels - what glue?

I didn't, I was referring to the Danboline on the edges and back and varnish on the front, as you mentioned in #17 edit.

Ah, I see. I just assumed you meant the front since you said "finish" :) I dunno why Danboline on the back. Less work than varnish, perhaps more durable, perhaps a nicer look when you lift one up to peek into the bilge... It just felt appropriate somehow. Incidentally, I had the surveyor here the other day, and while he seemed to be fairly impressed by the panels (after I told him I had made them myself...) he immediately asked if I'd epoxied the edges of the plywood. When I said no, that I'd given them four coats of varnish instead (with a sanding between coat 2 & 3) he suggested that would not last as long as a single coat of epoxy would; that varnish was too "hard" and would crack, letting moisture in. Not too worried myself, just thought I'd mention it for any future DIY floor panel makers.

Edit: I put Danboline on the back only (two coats, plus undercoat) - the edges of the ply/oak sandwich were varnished instead, with four coats. Didn't want any white paint showing through the (inevitable) gaps between the panels.

Edit 2: Pics of the finished floor panels on page 2, for those jumping to last post...
