If you do a search for Mallorca, going back a year, there is lots of info.

These are 3 threads which relate to my time there:

Good advice from Richard and for the longish passage, how about down to Espalmador (Formentera)? They filmed South Pacific there (a long time ago pre-Ursula Andress/Dr No /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

Hello Aidy,
I have a 36 ft boat based in Alcudia, and it's a great place to sail. My top thoughts:
Hop across to Menorca if you can. Only about 7 hours to Ciudadella, which is fantastic. Mahon is worth a look and very few of the calas are disappointing.
Soller if the weather is settled. It's the only shelter on the inhospitable north coast but is a lovely place to stay for a day or two.
Cala Ratjada is my favourite port on the island, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. It's very popular with German tourists so English is the #4 language there (after Catalan, Castilian and German)
In a week, with the right conditions, it's entirely possible to circumnavigate Menorca or, ir you want to do a lot of sailing, Mallorca. However, my preference is for a couple of long sails (say Alcudia to Mahon and Ciudadell to Ratjada) and then potter around the Menorcan anchorages for the rest.
I'm trying to put together a list of top anchorages/marinas (and particularly your favourite bars and restaurants there) on my website and would very much welcome your feedback

A week ain't long, so you'll need to make some choices. From Alcudia I'd head for Menorca. Ciudadella is interesting but heavily touristed and parking arrangements for yacnts are complicated, having to leave the main harbour at certain times to make way for the ferries. The side calas at the entrance can be good provided you are protected from the prevailing swell. Mahon is good and there may now be some spaces ( We found it chock full in late August). Fornells is great and there is no shortage of interesting Calas around the coast. Re Mallorca, I'd try the east side, Porto Cristo ( great Club Nautica ), Porto Colom.
