If the reefing system is the (old style) roller boom then the sail doesn't require any extra tack /clew eyelets.
If its roller boom .. then it would be expected to have bolt-rope in the boom track.

It's not a furling sail
Lacing the eyelets to the boom would probably just tear them out.
Our F27 tri had roller boom reefing, it was very good. Brutally simple, strong and effective.ALL mainsails can be rolled if the boom has the facility ... but its an old system and very few people use roller boom now.
I must be one of the few that actually like roller boom !! and have perfected a way to keep boom UP and level when sail rolled.
I had some mesh panels put in the bottom edge of my stackpack to allow the water to drain. Possibly some stainless steel eyelets would work as well....
Unless you also have a Stackpack...
Presumably you have a tapered boom and a claw ring for the vang .ALL mainsails can be rolled if the boom has the facility ... but its an old system and very few people use roller boom now.

I solved the problem by rolling a length of webbing along the boom in the sail then fixing the kicking strap to that
The roller boom was standard with my boat when new but I soon realised the faff. I had probrems getting the leech out to keep the foot tight as it reefed. I needed the vang & i needed a mainsheet claw ring. The topping lift needed a rotating fitting which all added to the weight. Then one needed someone at the gooseneck to wind the handle to rotate the boom so reefing was a 2 handed job.
Getting a new sail & a rectangular boom with slab reefing was so good. A decent sail set every time. & the mainsheet & kicking strap always stayed set.
But I raced the boat almost every weekend as it was class racing with anything from 6-30 boats for 10 years
