Main sail for Leisure 23SL

Have just acquired a Leisure 23 SL and need a replacement main sail.
Can anbody reccomend where I can obtain or if any members have one to sell.
The boat is circa 1985 and we are fully refurbishing her.

Yes, I have looked on Leisure Facebook site and saw someone discussing that he had replaced his sails recently on L23.
You could enquire what he is doing with the old ones? Might not be perfect but will get you moving?

Measure up the max size of sail you can fit in. ie luff and foot length. Then look around for any mainsail that is smaller than your max dimensions. Don't overlook large dinghy sails like Sharpie. (not the gaff rigged type of course) A smaller sail than max is not a bad thing if the price is right. Can minimise need for reefing when wind gets up. Way back I gave my 21fter main sail to sail maker for repair. He failed to deliver in time for Sunday race. I borrowed a mainsail from a 125 (12.5ft dinghy) it fitted no problem. And yes because it was quite windy that day we still won. So smaller is not bad. ol'will

Look on ebay, but know your luff & foot dimensions required.

You might come across websites that sell used sails.

There are some folks on here that have had bad experiences with some of them.

May be worth using the search function on this forum before committing yourself.
