A very interesting project. I was dreaming of a bypass to Bray lock until I found the following in the technical specifications bit of the plan:
"It is unlikely that it would ever be feasible to cater for full size river cruisers due to the headroom restrictions under many bridges."
They are looking at two options, a route big enough for narrow boats up to 60ft or restricted to small boats such as canoes etc.
I shall leave others to make pithy comments on the plan.

Just tell Boatone that you have buried 10p somewhere in the area you want excavated.........instant marina......the problem will be getting him to stop.
