So after spending the last few weekends anti-fouling and doing other little jobs our new, and first, boat was finally launched on Menai Straits on Saturday. Having done my PB2 with Kwackers a few months ago, we thought it wise to have a bit of a refresher so I had a day 1 to 1. Went over the PB2 stuff and more besides, particularly navigation and charts which were still a bit of a mystery to me, Liz learnt the fine art of being a fender flooise and is now a dab hand at picking moorings up too! We did about 26 miles up and down the Straits, loads of manouvering, berthed her bow and stern to several times, and I have to say didn't make a bad job of it either. No doubt there'll be an audience when I cock it up eh Major! Thanks to all the forumites for their invaluable help and advice so freely given particularly the Major, Lawsy, HLB and Kwackers of course. Now we're up and running we'll no doubt be picking brains further in the very near future!
Attached or some photos from the trip, including the obligatory wake shot! Sorry to bore you, but it's exciting for us newbies, hope to see you out there!
