Update:-
Launched at Warsash yesterday morning, very calm with minimal wind.
Pottered up the Hamble to check engine was warmed up. Then onto Southampton water where we opened her up.
Ran up and down at increasingly higher speed then decided we'd go to Cowes for breakfast.
The engine ran sweetly but I had concerns as I'd not been able to sea trial it.
Petrol was a bit stale so topped up with E5.
Ran at high speed for about 45 mins so the cooling systems all ok.
The hull is anti fouled but a bit rough so I wasn't expecting much on top speed, around 28 knots.
The 2 way average was 33 knots so very impressed!
The outboard is sitting too low on the transom so needs to go up 3 holes
My brother is going to use Silic One on the hull so the combination of that and engine lift will give about 3 knots more.
Fast cruise at 4,000 rpm was 22 knots so good for passage making with my other boaty friends.
We're heading to Torquay next year so about 100 mile trip.
I'll upload a video to YouTube and post the link.
