Just returned from two weeks in the CI's getting to know my 3500c realy well! (I did other stuff as well of course!)

Report and observations.

Firstly, I found the tidal information first class. ALL measurments in meters including the little bar icon on screen. The tidal flows were out by about 30 mins on what was actually happening, not bad as it IS only a prediction. To me this proves that the update that I downloaded from Silva has taken care of all the reported old problems.

The Nautipath charts have proved to be good generally. But some rocks that should be well marked are just little *, not clear enough in anything other than calm conditions. That said, in a blow you wouldnt be cutting close anyway, would you?

The screen has always been viewable in sunlight, except you have to shield it with your hand in very direct bright sun, not unreasonable I think.

One 'glitch' I have spotted is that on a couple of occasions it has 'lost' the trail, to restart a new one, not of major importance to me but I would like to know why it has.

I'm still working through all the menus and sub menus, there is so much that it will do.

But I still kept the paper charts updated with the Yeoman, and always will!

there is something reasuring about a cross or a line on a bit of paper that cant switch itself off. But a chart plotter aint half usefull.
