Wonder how the OP is getting on if travelling this weekend. If he did shotley yesterday, then it would be a nice close hauled beat after Walton with just a couple of long tacks to Burnham with the tide in his favour soon.

The comments were not exactly "friendly" in that they contained lots of stern warnings. Rather like my mum used to issue when I wanted to do something. So he has probably given up on the forum.
I tend to do the something similar, when looking up weather forecasts. I only look at the ones that show the weather I want. Not the weather I really am going to get.

The comments weren't unfriendly either. The OP seemed hell-bent on doing something foolhardy and putting himself (and others) in potential danger. That level of misdirected intent justifies an unambiguous response! I think it's possible he was a troll anyway.
Regardless, I hope he and the boat are fine.

I think at the time he was intending to buy first one, then another boat. Now he says he has bought (a yet different) one.
I hope that he re-appears to contribute to and benefit from the Forum, and successfully moves his boat (perhaps even with help from someone here), or has perhaps already done so.
