Low cost teak decking - what do we think?

I have two pieces of it on my boat ready to be used as bridge floor.

Looks OK but as it is self gluing I plan to use lots of evil stick to ensure it stays down.

Toby PM me if you art close enough to North Fambridge as you are welcome to have a look at it.

Used that for the cabin floor of my Fisher 25
Only installed it a few months ago, so too soon to gauge its effectiveness but so far has stood up well, and crew includes a large dog
Its soft underfoot, warm, and cleans easily - mine is grey and shows the dirt so needs cleaned every trip (a five minute job with a spray cleaner and sponge)
Mine was called Eva Teak, but I think the same stuff and is apparently able to withstand pressure washing, although not sure about that

Can send you a small offcut if you wish

When it says "EVA From Faux" does that mean it will absorb water?

Where did you guys buy it from please? I see it on eBay from this country rather than from China thru Banggood, which I prefer.

Is this the same stuff as Flexi-teak?

Many thanks.

Mine came from China via E Bay
The advert notes that it can be used externally, including swimming pool surrounds so should be water resistant (and I think the advert maybe showed it on the deck of powerboats) - mine is water resistant, but I have used it inside
Its a foam material, so not the same as Flexiteek

If you PM your address I can post you an off cut

Trakmark never looked very convincing but this looks far better and the wide choice of colours plus the fact that they also sell it as single 'planks' means it can be laid to look like real imitation teak. I think the blue would look good in my shower compartment but it will be interesting to see how anyone here gets on with it if they take the plunge.

I have this for my interior 42 ft with 2 large dogs 1 child and the Admiral, holds up well and as said above easy to clean and soft underfoot, and not slippy for the dogs , we are seeing how it holds up as we did not want the laminate flooring for the dogs , I ordered from Ebay link above arrived on time on both occasions around 2-3 days (UK BASED) well packed , if I get a few seasons out of it then I ll be happy , but I really don't see mANY issues with it

Also interested for my Rib. Looks like the dog's b******s for the flooring.
Would also consider it for the cockpit floor (other boat) as the gelcoat is getting a bit worse for wear now and this may be easier than recoating the gelcoat. How do you finish it off around the edges or does it just finish up looking like a striped carpet that's been laid.

Hello, its exactly what I used last year in the cockpit of my Westerly. One year on so its had a season + a winter standing and its still good. AChinese let me down on my second order to do inside the boat but I ordered some from a UK seller on Ebay, this job still pending though.
A vid of doing last years project at:

The 'faux EVA teak' 5mm from Bangood. I see its now a little cheaper from the USA warehouse rather than the China one 240cm x 90cm x 5mm EVA Foam Teak Sheet Boat Yacht Synthetic Teak Decking With Glue Mechanical Parts from Tools, Industrial & Scientific on banggood.com
In my limited experience of shipping from USA watch teh duty bill when it arrives here. Never had to pay it on Chinese goods .
My latest stuff yet to be fitted was from a UK Ebay seller. Looks a slightly different colour in the pics but exactly the same product.
Sticks well and seems to stay ok outside for the first year at least

Quite tempted to use this for my cockpit seats. Is it a bit like foam camping mat material, or is it denser than that?
