Low cost teak decking - what do we think?

Quite tempted to use this for my cockpit seats. Is it a bit like foam camping mat material, or is it denser than that?
EVA sheet is sold as 'Progrip'. It's used for racing dinghies of the sort where you're on your feet a fair amount.
It is quite soft. Rubber soles grip well on it. It lasts OK on a dinghy, but you would not want it near dogs, cats, anchors, outboard motors.
You can buy it for craft purposes and things like pushbike grip tape and it feels the same as the boaty stuff.
Whether the fake teak stuff is the same density, who knows.

Personally there's only one thing I'd like less than a teak deck, and that's a fake teak deck.

Put it in my cabin sole which is a large area , its nasty, it marks, stains and you will never line it up with hatches etc. (IMHO) for cockpit seats and stairs and litte areas it is ok and would do the Job, I am ripping it all out once they let me out
it is the EVA Foam from china

What will you replace with?
Against all recommendations I will lay a wooden floor , I have got slats from old pallets and and sanded then down and stained then teak and varnished them 5 times , I do not expect them to last a life time but hardwood flooring is out of my money
I will lay this in my main cabin and then use polyurethane carpet cut the shapes of the companionways and stitch a border around them and lay this down over waterproof foam so stern cabin , walkway to forward and forward cabin and side cabin

It seemed to work well in the cockpit last season. It is soft , but is nice to sit and kneel on . Have no idea on longevity of the product. Took quite a bashing down below , particularly on the steps . This was a new boat ( to me ) and very basic. It produced a quick lift for a small amount of work and seemed to work with the leatherette ( Dunelm £9 a metre) It worked for me but may not be the answer for established boats.
