Love Portsmouth, but it needs Dave's sugar tax

I pulled in to Portsmouth today, probably will get whacked for this on here, in fact, I will get whacked but hey ho.

Now, I am a big Portsmouth fan and from a nautical perspective I love the place and the history and the pubs, love old Porstmouth and the Naval Dockyard and like Haslar across the way, but by golly it would be a great place to trial the sugar tax.

Now I know this has nothing to do with boating, but this obesity crisis ( and it is a crisis) needs attention, all I will say is that perhaps the sugar tax is worth a trial or two and my observations are that Portsmouth may be a good place to start!

I watched a documentary about Pompey a few weeks back, it was Doley heaven , didn't give the place a good picture at all.

true and fair, such a shame, and you could off course say it about anywhere in the UK, but you have to start somewhere, but if that tax arrives, I hope its a big one!!
