YBW readers will be aware that Golden Globe participant progress is being tracked by Yellowbrick trackers. For comparison, the Yellowbrick track includes a virtual representation of progress by previous notable solo circumnavigations.
In a bid to attract new membership the ‘International Association of Cape Horners’ have been sending messages to Golden Globe HQ to pass on to the latest cohort of Golden Globe skippers as they round Cape Horn offering congratulations (and discounted membership as if skippers need to pay to claim the distinctive honour of a ‘rounding’). Spies in the camp report much bemusement, therefore, when the latest message asks race HQ to ‘…please pass our congratulations to Bernard and pass on our best wishes for the remainder of his circumnavigation on Joshua…’.
