Was expensive
Er, I was lowering a small rib (now to be known as mini-rib, never lost found or recovered with or without a dodgy outboard) from the davits on the back of a trader 55, I could not be arsed to keep un-winding the drum of the davit so I took the weight on the winch handle, lifted the ratshit, and let go of the handle, the dinghy started to lower itself at quite a pace.......oo...er...cant grab handle...spinning tooo fast......so had to wait till dinghy hit water...but this swinging of the handle made the davit shake quite alot...so much in fact...that the end of the davit (one of the extendy type ones) shot out and diassappeared into the piss....er..."oooh...um...I think I just lost something boss" I think was the next thing I said.
recently found a nice telescopic boat hook floating down river on the days I sold the boat with its boat hook so that saved me buying one for the new boat. Ha.
For sale, 1970 Triumph Spitfire-sold, 1947 Lambretta, 1922 Great grandmother, PM for details.
