Whilst searching for information about the Gouda Coenecoopbrug situation, I came upon the phrase "Recreational Thrust Inhibition".
I wonder what the original wording meant and does it apply to me? šŸ¤”

Not lost in translation, rather added in translation. The phrase is simply not there in the Dutch version. There’s automatic translation for you.
No smutty jokes in Dutch, I’m sorry to disappoint some of you šŸ˜Ž

The Dutch version speaks of "Spitsstremming voor recreatie" - the bridge won't open for recreational vessels during the (road) rush hours as published.
You may go through if it opens for merchant vessels.

Cracking bit of mistranslation - no idea how they got there 🄓
