We kept loosing GPS signal in Dover harbour this afternoon, do the massive RADARs affect it? The antennae is mounted high up and in the clear.

No, they don't, just as well really.

Is your battery flat, or has your aerial, its connection, or your GPS receiver gone wrong?

If not, has Radio 4 Longwave stopped transmitting? If so, enjoy the Son et Lumiere!

Mine usually pegs out rounding South Foreland. Antenna inside (and quite an old set) so maybe more sensitive to signal issues. Perhaps affected by the cliffs, or weather?

No, and the problem may be mine. I'm noticing the same issue when I transmit on VHF. I have a pole with the mushroom GPS at the centre and the two VHF 0.5m either side.

I also have experienced loss of GPS around North Foreland & dare I show my age; also had the same problem with Decca.

Seemed more prevalent when heading south rather than north, having crossed the Thames Estuary.

No theories as to why.
