Lost EVC display on fly on one engine ,

Swap the cables over upstairs to check it not a duff display.

if it works....you know it’s a connection issue as per Mr K

Ask Bruce to have a look....he will bugger both displays but at least they’ll be matching

Roy , you've polished to death. All that wax in the guts of it. No naked flames now, use a torch, there's not enough water in Vickie Dock to put it all out. ? Anyway, I heard you made a thunderous entry onto the visitors berth. :ROFLMAO: The noise was described as a clattering wheeze. Where those the fenders giving in? :D:devilish:

So a bit of a strange one , we also had problems with the thruster ie flat battery . So now we are in port I checked the bow thruster ,found a circuit breaker popped out battery now charged tried thruster with chargers off and battery voltage stable , so seems ok. Now back to the evc , just about to change dials as far so said , thanks F , no try it first , display is back on so leave alone . The question can they be related , I don’t think so !,,

I dont do these electro wizardry things but if your batteries were delivering suboptimal voltage I hear the pooter bits throw a hissy fit and dont come out to play. It's a stretch of the imagination though and on the KIS approach I'm sticking to my above comment.

Anyway, get out of dock the lads are currently living large at Llandwyn and it was 24C by 10am on millpond seas. It wont last, so grab your chance now before a raggie steals your spot.

I just go along side as if I am going to raft up , they soon move .

It pains me to see that the average wit of engineering has descended to swapping things over to see if things work. It really is the lowest form of troubleshooting. Then I realised that I may be on to something here.

Roy. As your boat is not working I'm happy to swap it with mine which is working to see if it solves your problem. That should resolve your issue (y)

of course....much better to take things apart completely. That usually ends well ???

did you find the oil pressure under reading issue btw?

Mind you I did clean up the loom terminals too. Bit of spit and polish there outa Roys book. Somehow paint had got in. I deny any knowledge of that of course.

Well tomorrow will tell when we use the thruster battery which does the anchor , we are off paddle boarding , and there is no one to video us .

So after a fantastic 4 days got back in home port , just before dark . After charging batteries in canaffffffon thruster and eve working perfect , so thanks for tips. There was a bonus we got 2 nights for the price of one , because brucek wasn’t with us.
