Hi everyone,

Just undergoing a bit of a refit and I'm looking for some LED ceiling lights that don't need to be recessed. The following were recommended to me but, at £40 a pop, I'll be giving them a miss:

https://www.force4.co.uk/force-4-led-spotlight-with-touch-switch.html?sqr=Touch led lights &

They do have the right spec though, slim, can be switched on/off individually, no need to cut holes in ceiling........but the price!!

Does anyone have any suggestions of this kind of thing but at least half the price?

Thanks, James

Force 4 have a large range to choose from ........ many a lot less expensive than £40

If you want to go really low profile then consider this LED COB that is really cheap. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1X-48SMD-C...798207&hash=item4b6949dab5:g:C6EAAOSwuU9dW4Ia
If you look on ebay LED 12v you will see all sorts of options. Not with switches however. Consider the 12v strip lights with adhesive backing. (that falls off quickly) or car Day running lights also short strip. You may be able to conceal the wiring or just stick it to the roof. A switch can be mounted on the switch panel or some more convenient place. (or better still 2 switch system. ol'will

Have completely eradicated all fluorescent and incandescent lamps from my boat
They have all been replaced by LEDs of varying types purchased from Ebay.In the dinette/ front bedroom/ galley have circular lights (around 250mm)which neatly cover the screw holes left by the previous fittings. The saloon has LED bulbs which fit in the existing fittings. The bog/shower has an oblong light which again virtually matched the original fitting.
Outside there is square lamp (a bit too bright really) to replace a rusty old fitting which contained a couple of dim festoon bulbs.
All are plastic and no worse for it.All have individual on/off switches.
All the old fittings were showing signs of corrosion and ended up in the skip.
Have also used the 12V waterproof LED strip to illuminate some dark corners of the engine room and other difficult to see parts of boat.

Ps. look under "caravan" its usually at least 50% cheaper.
