I've installed a sealed box for a gas locker and now need to organise top access to it big enough to get a CG 907 into - 202mm or thereabouts.

Any 8" deck plates are too small and 10" are too big OD to fit.

I have found this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jim-Blac...nch-Marine-White-Boat-Deck-Hatch/191965007529 which seems to be the right dimensions, but it is from the US

Anyone got anything similar or know where I might find one?

Does the top need to be sealed? As long as the high pressure valve and pipe work are below the level of the lid, it doesn’t need a seal. You could cur a plastic or wood one depending on finish with a latch if needed. I have a gas locker in a cockpit locker without a lid as it’s inside the main locker and it fulfills the BSS for the canals.

I thought about that, but it's not in a locker, and it's hard to make something that won't let water in. OK, the drain will let it out again, but it will lead to rusty bottles etc, so I would rather keep it sealed if possible. Have now ordered a hatch from the US - hope I don't regret it.

Let water in? We’re in drought mode here on the Crinan!!

Hope it works well.
