Looking for a portable self priming pump - suggestions

I have a engine oil drain pump, it has a connection for air pressure hose, so can be used for your app. I’ll show you later today eta 19..20h

how about a car brake bleed kit?
Now, that's a good option indeed, I like it.
Any idea about whether somewhat dirty fluids can affect its functionality?

I don't think swmbo would happily sacrifice her stockings, as Pinnacle suggested...
...And she doesn't use any in summertime, anyway! :D

Brake fluid is pretty toxic so the components should be resistant to just about everything. The only issue i could see would be particles, but again, a fine filter of some sort should work well (thinking similar to the filter that sits on the inlet to the fuel pump in an eberspacher heater) or indeed a stocking :)

P, Flojet sell in-line filters as a stand alone component...

I'll be happy with my set-up when I get it working but one improvement would be to mount the components on a piece of acrylic with some slide in brackets that would allow the switch, pump and filter to be easily removed.

Snap - same app. .
Went through various electric pumps with ensuring 8uggeration with impellers / petite diaphragms and crock clip hassle

Sometimes the simple ideas are the best

If the whale gusher was screwed to a piece of timber board you could steady it with a knee, and the suction end of the hose pipe was cable tied straight to a length of dowl you could probe into tight spaces quite a distance away, still keeping it simple.
