Long shot Honda GD1100 engine

Anyone come across this engine ?

I am struggling to find fuel, oil & air filters for it.


Any sources ?

It is a GD1100 20hp 3 pot diesel, obsolete by all accounts, but in good working order, it just needs a service, hence the request for a source for the filters.

seems to have been fitted to a few boats & in this case a generator.

Rang round a few Honda engine dealers and got nowhere other than 'obsolete', requests for equivalents were met with 'we don't do that'

If you download the parts catalogue from here, it'll give you part numbers which you can then cross-reference to locate the bits you need.

Already got the (printed) workshop manual, & I have had a look at the parts list before & backed out.

I will punt the Honda part numbers around again to see if I can get the equivalents.

If you just Google the part numbers, you should find what you want. For example, Googling the oil filter number throws up this eBay offer at less than a fiver.
