Boat (motor) Show

I went on Monday having come over from the Channel Islands especially.
After a lot of hassle getting there (planes, trains, tubes, taxis, queues!!) thought I had got the wrong day and it was closed!
Virtually no one there, very few boats on display compared to previous years and far too many cars on show.
I suppose not having to thrash your way through crowds was rather nice but I felt the whole thing was rather lacking in any enthusiam.
High spot was the new V39 - low spot too few exhibitors
SIBS far superior

I agree - went to the show yesterday and was amazed at the lack of suppliers in the North hall. Not one upholsterer for instance. Compared to previous years the show was padded out with antique dealers, solar heating companies, arthritis cures, sports cars and others. I'll stick to Southampton and research on the net in future.

When I went on Saturday I bought a rubber nozzle for a hose, the guy selling it was saying and showing how good the spray was with a powerful jet to reach along the side of boats.

Took it to the boat yesterday and as the boat had a few hits from sea gulls I thought I would give it a try. Well it was no better than the one that was on there, the spray was no better and no easier to handle, so I guess he saw me coming.

£20 down the spray hose end
