If you want the best price on a stand go on the last day and negotiate, they would rather sell something than take it back to base. The way to get an even better price is to get a job on a stand then you get trade price usually abut 40% off. When we were working on the LateSail stand we bought everything to fit out our boat for long distance cruising.

I won't go to Excel again either. Have always felt that the NEC would be a better venue with easy transport from north and south. OTOH, I think Southampton is a brilliant show.
