Hi all
There are leaks at the screws on the fuel outlet from the fuel tank. The top of the tank is at different heights and the outlet is below the top so there is a leak when tank is fuel. I was wondering whether Blue gasket sealant (which I happen to have) would be suitable to make a seal at the screw head or is there something else I should try.
Many thanks

As a superdouper boggit and scarper forumite with no real technical back ground I would give the blue ago but assume there must be a failed gaskit in there and really that is what needs changing. Friendly engineer might be able to sell you some gasket material that you can cut your own from?

Hope it is not too fiddly, good luck.

Blue gasket (Hylomar) was recommended to me to seal the top fixing into a plastic fuel tank as it's suitable for diesel. Good stuff, just follow the instructions and don't rush the job.

Hylomar is good, but even better is Calortite, specially on pressurised fuel joints.

You may have difficulty finding it though, because it was originally sold to bodge LPG lines, which these days is a decided no-no.
