I'm converting my boat to single line reefing and done a few tests in the harbor and all looks to be working fine.
I need to sort some blocks and have a nice sized double to bring reef 1 and reef 2 back to the jammers on the coach roof.

Question is, is loading one side of a double block a big no no?

Barton say don't do it, not sure about others, but i'd guess they all agree.

Yes, that's where I read it when looking at buying some more blocks. I was hoping people would come back and say, don't worry its fine.
Bugger, looks like this is going to cost me...

Funnily enough I am using a fiddle block. maybe I could use two.

Below is a mock up with one reef line fitted.
