LM 30 vrs LM32

Getting on a bit and wondering if its time to change to a motor SAILOR (caps intentional)
Looking at an LM 30 and there seems to be a similar model called an LM32. I've sailed an LM30 and loved it

can anybody tell me the difference or give me any inputs on these boats

The LM 28, 30 and 32 are very similar to one another, except in size. They (along with the LM26, which doesn't have a forecabin) are part of the later generation (early 1980s on) LMs with a more 'yacht' shaped hull with fin (a few bilge) keels and sail-drives, rather than the earlier long-keeled boats (e.g. LM23, 24, 27 etc.) that had hulls based on traditional Baltic sailing fishing/work boats, and conventional stern gear.

The designer of that later series (Bent Juul Anderson) took the distinctive and hugely successful concept, layout and approach of the earlier LM24 & LM27s (designed by Palle Mortenson) and put them in a more modern shaped and looking hull & deck moulding, and added numerous neat refinements to an already pleasingly clever package.

Both earlier and later series have the high quality GRP and woodwork for which LM were renowned, and the LM 'signature' canoe stern.

The layout is slightly different in the 32 than the smaller boats, with the head and hanging locker forward, between the saloon and forecabin, rather than midships, between the saloon and wheelhouse. I see a second, removable seat alongside the helmsman's seat in the wheelhouse, in some pictures of the LM32. I don't know if that was standard, an optional extra, or an owner mod.
