Liveaboard on a Gulet

Any one out there living on board a gulet would love to hear some pointers if you do,:encouragement:

Well most [ all ? ] are wood and built down to a price.

I would not want a wooden boat ESPECIALLY one built down to a price. .

There are two rotting away on the hard here if you're interested....

As mentioned they are not built to last and seem to need a LOT of work even whilst serviceable.

The only thing I could tell you is that every winter they all seem to be hauled out, have the hull stripped, then re-sheathed with ply and then GRP. Granted many of them are working boats, and the work quality (or materials) may not be the best, but it still strikes me as a very expensive way to keep up with anti-foul!
