I think it was Byron but i could be mistaken , it was well over a year ago ........ Anyway here is the boat .....

Nope! Not me asking. Can't tell from the photo. Is it a James A Silver or a 1960s Van Lent. Either way it's a fine looking craft.
 
I think it is a James A Silver. And she needs a bit of TLC. The name begins with Silver forgotten the second word though. Strange detail to know about but the exhaust pipe skin fittings are different diameters. maybe she has twin engines but different units or maybe main and wing engines?
 
Definitely a Silver. They used the same style for a few different lengths.
A real Gentleman's Yacht.
Remember admiring it each time we passed, on our way to the estuary.
It used to be kept in pretty good shape. Sad if it is no longer.
 
To be honest that is the first time i have seen a spec of dirt on it so i assume its just a bit of grime on the hull that will wash off .
 
There is a nice one of those down here at Chatham and I think a forumite has got one down in Barcelona somewhere.
