Little Ship in the Caledonian

I'm pretty sure the idea would be to crew on the other boat, as you say, the other way could end up being full of drama's.

Yes, crewing is the way to go. The Captain of Little Ship offers an entertaining and stimulating cruise. Many thanks to Tom and Babs. I boat in the Northwest of the US and have considered it without peer and the best boating in the world. I was wrong. Scotland is stunningly beautiful and would take years to take it all in. If you have not ventured to the area, you are cheating yourselves.

Oh yes, the fun box aboard Little Ship was absolutely decimated. Several times in fact. To quote Philiz after a post cruise party; "me ed urtz" :p

You decide who is captain and who is crew. Yes, that's water on the fingertips.

I was wondering when we were going to hear from you Bernie :), guessed you were settling back into life at home again.

Looking at the pic wheeling the lock-gate winch around, appears good exercise for the crew, although you now know what it's like to raise the anchor on a square rigger! :)

But how long did it keep him quiet for?

It helped clear the head in the morning. I have been a little slow on getting to my responses and posts from the trip. I couldn't believe how much had to be done around the house and being gone only 3 weeks. And I think I was having some withdrawl symptoms from the voyage. I really hated to leave the area.

Bernie,..
Great meeting you guys as well.... cannot believe he made you do that!!! .... you can get a runner to do that throughout the canal for a couple of quid you know !!!

:D

Oh, he didn't make me do it. I wanted the experience. Next time though...................

I was a pleasure meeting you as well. Between yours and Tom's pictures I think it gives a great overall representation of what is awaiting the adventurous boater. If your ever out my way, send a note and I'll show you our territory.

Ah, so you made it back in one piece then, glad your brain is suitably pickled too! Good to meet you and Val and very glad you enjoyed your trip over here, we thought you might ;)

Val and I enjoyed meeting the North Wales Mobs. I still can't believe all the food Tom cooked. There was nothing left other than a few Kwacker size crumbs on the floor. I hope to be back over another time. Still much to see. Give my best to Liz.

Tom did a good job, and if he's ever at a loose end he could easily get a job at the crematorium ;).Thanks Bernie, I'll pass your regards on to Liz. Next time you're over you'll have to try and spend some time in and around PD
