Little boat for the solent

Afternoon, a friend is looking for a little cheap boat to get on the water this summer. budget is about £6K and wants to be able to trailer potter in Chichester, if the weather is right over to the island and a little bit of Ringoing.

something like an dory or small rib springs to mind but there doesnt seem to be that much about...

any ideas???
