Are you perhaps referring to the Conception, the American dive boat which caught fire and sank in Californian waters last September? If so you might care to note that a) the NTSB enquiry isn't expected to deliver its report for a year or so. No cause has yet been determined; and b) yes, there has been speculation that lithium batteries may have caused the blaze. However, these were phone and camera batteries known to have been charging in the bunk area of the vessel. They have little in common with the LiFePo4 batteries favoured for boat installations.

No mention of LiFePo4 batteries in there. Some speculation about Li Ion -

Completely different to the LiFePo4 batteries used for boat banks and in the youtube.
