Limbo 6.6

I have acquired a Limbo 6.6 recently and found that the mast step is unuseable.
The original piece is made of anodised Aluminium and since I was unable to weld it or find a new one I reconstructed a piece by using galvanised steel.
Does anyone know if galvanised steel may cause corrosion or any other problems to the mast itself?
Any place where I could possibly find a proper mast step?
Any response will be appreciated

I had a galvanized tabernacle with an alluminium alloy mast on my last boat without problems. It was 25 years old.

To be on the safe side use plastic inserts around the bolts and anywhere the 2 metals touch to insulate one from the other. My old boat just had the metal s touching and there was no problem.
