Lighthouse Charts Updating Query: Download File Name Compared to Original File Name on SD Card

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest Lighthouse file to my computer download folder. I followed the instructions on the Raymarine website. The SD card is what came with the Lighthouse chart package that I purchased last year, it has never been updated.

1. I had to locate the .txt file and click on that before downloading, which I did. This was the lighthouse_id.txt file and not the chartinfo.txt file in the SD Card folder Lighthouse_charts. I assume this is correct. Can anyone confirm please?
2. I now have to delete a .rmc file in the SD card folder Lighthouse_charts, as per the instructions. The file name for the .rmc file, in the SD card folder, is a long name consisting of numbers and letters, about 64 characters from a rough count.
3. The dowloaded update file is just lighthouse_chart.rmc

Is the downloaded lighthouse_chart.rmc file what I should expect and not another 64 digit file name?

I have backed up the SD Card, just got to delete the 64 character name .rmc file from the SD card and replace it with the lighthouse_chart.rmc

Is this okay, what you would expect if updating the SD card in a computer? Any guidance appreciated on this.

Deleting the long file name and inserting the lighthouse_chart.rmc file into the SD card worked. The card in the plotter from last year did not show tidal heights and currents in 2024. Now the tide and current data is back.
