I've always thought it was quite expencive at our place, and i don't think theres any negociating there.
If only they did a lift and hold over lunch or something, with time Glen takes for lunch, you'd have plenty of time to scrub and Antifoul your 33footer. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You lot need to look at Drivers Wharf . As a berth holder it costs me about 15 quid for a lift. Non berth holders is more, but that still shows what an utter utter rip off MDL etc are when an independant yard can do it so cheap.

Why would I need any luck, are you calling me a liar?

Have you spoken to Gill at Drivers Wharf? My boat, 29', 3.25 tonnes, on a trailer, costs me about 15 quid to launch or recover. Maybe it's 16 quid+VAT or something, it's been a while since I last launched so I can;t remember exactly, of course it varies with length/weight. There are 2 cranes available, one smaller one for boats up to about 4 tonnes, and a large one owned/operated by GM Lifting which I think (not sure though, it might be bigger) is about 60 tonnes. It's a very friendly yard, both crane drivers and the yard guys are all decent, friendly and competant guys.

Of course, it's no skin off my nose, if you don't believe me, please feel free to keep paying MDL prices.
