I reckon the fuller a LR the better- more stable, more warmth, more human contact/reassurance. OK 'Til the vomiting starts.
Better 5/6 crammed into a 4 than 2 of us being slung around. I pray I only read about it and do it in a pool rather than for real.
Oh, ours is a valise strapped to the pushpit and protected by the aft cabin roof.
I'm trying to design a s/s cradle to hold it ready to go on the pushpit, with a canvas weather cover over it (as it's a valise) while we are at sea.
Even a 4 man valise is heavy, just moving it from forecabin to pushpit moored up- for real, in a seaway /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
