34 knots gusting 47 here, the Sheerness lifeboat have just towed in Spirit and are putting her on a buoy, if anyone wants to know.

Now she is being towed to Chatham by a mobo, VTS just warned him it is gusting 60 knots! Good luck with that.

Yes I think so, because I have seen it about. Also, that would explain them getting a tow to Chatham in to the teeth of a howling gale (literally) rather than hanging on the buoy til it calmed down. I wonder if they had some students on board...
All quiet in Queenie now, it's like sitting in the public library, 2 hrs ago it was a maelstrom, cheers Jerry

That wouldn't surprise me. I was talking to one of there students in Chatham Marina in October they were on an intensive Yacht master course which included a round Britain trip. He said they rounded Cape Wrath in F9!
