Has anyone found a solution to allow you to lock one of these cam style locker latches … Cockpit Locker Latch | Lewmar

i’d have thought the need was clear given they intended for cockpit lockers housing valuable items but so far no joy in finding anything suitable … and Lewmar simply (virtually) shrugged!

They look like they were not intended as lockable. Just fit a proper lock for proper security.

Here's a stainless steel lock; there are probably other sources of such things. In my experience most cockpit lockers have toggle latches that take padlocks, like this.

You will all be gobsmacked at the price of the Lewmar equivalent. Before you click, ask yourself how much could it possibly be?

Would something like this work for you? They have quite a few stainless options using their tubular key. Metrol is another option worth looking at and in my experience you are best avoiding most of the marine options when it comes to cam locks and compression latches. You're a bit limited if you want a flush latch as a regular key is likely to fill with water and seize if facing skywards and the padlock options stand proud 15 or 20mm so the tubular key is probably your best option. Note that you can get a variety of different grip lengths, straight and cranked cams etc
