Having identified it on the Lewmar website I ordered a new seal for the Size 0 ‘New Standard Portlight’.

When it arrived it was the right size but obviously too wide a section - with it fitted the window can’t be shut.

Can anyone please help and let me know if there’s two or more different ones, and I simply ordered the wrong one?

Many thanks

You will see from this page that there are 3 seal sections, 2 of which are for the "new standard" : LEWMAR Standard Portlight Old & New Replacement Seal Locations OS 2/5 & NS 2/6 | eBay maybe this is the reason?

Interesting- I’ve just had exactly the same problem!
The seal is the correct length ( circumference) but the much to thick. I did eventually get it into the groove in the frame but there is no way the hatch will close.
Old seal = 6mm thick , New = 8mm thick.
I’ve refitted the old seal as a temporary measure.

I now have an update. I had a conversation this morning with a helpful man from Lewmar technical support.

My Beneteau Oceanis was manufactured in 2002 and so the man from Lewmar told me that it was likely to have the “old new“ style of port lights, which were manufactured for a short time between 2000, and 2004, before they were replaced with the “new new“ port lights, which were made 2004 to date.

Unfortunately no spares of any kind are available for these “old new” ones and so I had to replace the port light.
