here is the reply from the ARA from my recent email to them

Dear Mr. Perkins,
Thank you for your email dated 5th July. As you are probably aware, the internet does offer the opportunity for people to publish ‘spoof’ or similar material. This website is clearly of this nature and is not the official site of Twickenham Rowing, and has no connection with any official club, committee or part of the ARA. Twickenham Rowing Club’s official site is www.twickenhamrc.net
The ARA, its regions and its clubs are very clear about the guidance they give to their members, and disciplinary action is initiated at club, regional and national level if rules are not followed.
Abusive language is certainly not allowed, and this has recently been the subject of discussion within our members magazine, Rowing & Regatta. However, in common with many other walks of life, rowers do on occasions use bad language, and we shall continue to make every effort to ensure that where this happens, we take appropriate action.
Rowers are also instructed through training and coaching, to respect the rights of other water users, and of course neither the ARA nor its clubs would condone the remarks made on the website about canoeists.
All rowing boats and coaches launches are required to carry identification, in the form of three letters and three numbers. This makes identification of rowers and their clubs quite simple. I would suggest that should you observe any bad behaviour by rowers in the future, you make note of the identification number, so that the matter can be dealt with by the club concerned.
I have sent a copy of our correspondence to Twickenham Rowing Club and to the Thames Regional Rowing Council.
Yours sincerely,
Rosemary E. Napp

A very pleasing letter and worthy of a reply
I will soon post my reply in the meantime your comments please
