The forum does not seem to have much these days about boating, its all this has gone wrong or can someone help with this, and that is great but has anyone got any daring adventures or epic tales to tell.
We have some wonderful story tellers on here. and with pics they come alive.
So can we have some adventure from the high or low or middle seas.good excuse to look at all last years photos and cheer one up with a bit.

Typical winter lull, I guess? I'm only online as it's miserable out and can't even go for a walk :(

I did my bit last week by uploading some boring winter cruising pics :D

Ok.
When I got up on Boxing Day, I was still full of Turkey, bit jaded, and to cap it all it was chucking it down..
The wind was forecast to drop to about 12 knts, but it seemed worse in the showers...
High tide at midday about 7 and a bit metres, but with the waves of very low pressure not cast in stone..
I thought I ought to check the boat, especially the ropes. Force 8 forecast..
As I arrived at about 11 30 there was a bit of a squall and a shower, with the addition of a double rainbow..
Weather looked to be clearing a bit so removed the tonneau, and put the front tent cover up..
And cast off...20131226_121238.jpg20131226_122054.jpg20131226_122719.jpg20131226_122800.jpg20131226_123222.jpgAs you can see this proved to be a good decision..
Herm is a beautiful Island anyway, but the sea really was this clear and blue 1 week ago today....What a difference a week makes.. Happy New Year !!!!
