Lesvos, Mytilene info and tips please

I know this is not strictly PBO but I posted a thread on Scuttlebut a couple of weeks ago and got no meaningful response. I'm planning to check-in at Mytilene next week and spend a few weeks cruising around the island. It will be my first time there. I've looked at Heikell, Navily and Noforeignland so I've done some research but if anyone has any sensible experience based advice I'd love to hear it.

Our favourite Aegean island. Many nice ports and anchorages, largely we used ones in Heikell but found a few anchorages of our own. Inland is well worth the cost of a hire car. Surprising number of streams, even in height of summer.

Both inland seas are worth visiting.

Thanks, as always. My plan is to check-in at Mytilene and spend 5 or so days there - my Setur Marina contract entitles my to free days in the marina there. We'll hire a car for a couple of days to tour the island - my wife will have researched the inland places to view. After that we plan to go around the island anti clockwise, and so far I've planned stops at Mithymna (molyvos), Sigri, Apothikes, and Loutra. If you have any recommendations for other stops I'd be grateful. We like to anchor out but a taverna ashore for dinner is always a bonus.
Happy to go to pm if you prefer but I'm sure any information you offer online will be useful to others in the future.
