Has anyone ever used or know people that have tried Leoch AGM batteries. They are a good price and I was told they perform relatively well. Curious if anyone has had specific experiences?

Yes, they are a good battery. Much of a muchness, we are using Mastervolt or Victrons as pretty much standard fitment now. Leoch are on par with these so if they're cheap then go for it! The 4D's are bloody heavy and the 8D's even moreso!!

I looked their 6v AGMs and thought they were good spec and value, sadly the boatbuilder would not use them. I think it was more a space isssue rather than batt spec. Those in the industry spoke highly of them.

Can you equalize them like you can lifeline?
Might shorten their lives a fair bit otherwise.

If it's similar battery chemistry, surely you can treat them similarly.
