In order to increase our cruising fun and scope, I rather like the idea of using legs so we can dry out at times.
We have a 25' Jaguar fin keel, the base of which seems very small and a fair way back. So far back that whenever we put her in the cradle, we always brace under the stem as well, as it seems so does every Jaguar owner we've seen. Also the underside of the fin is quite markedly raked, so that when standing with the base level, the stem of the yacht is about a couple of feet higher than the stern. Haven't measured that exactly though.
I'm pretty sure we could rig legs somehow, even if they had to be well forward, but after extensive searches on the interweb, I've been unable to find anyone who's done it with a Jag25 fin keel. Has anyone on the forum done so or seen it done. I'd feel happier knowing someone had already done it. (and it hadn't fallen over!)
