going to sbs with the intention of buyiong some led lights both complete and conversion bulbs. any recommendations as to which stands to look at? and which to avoid?

Replaced interior halogens and festoon bulbs, and masthead anchor & deck stern bulbs with 'plug & play' LEDs.

Mail order from www.ultraleds.co.uk. Seem to have a good range, website is informative, prices OK, quick delivery, but I don't know if they're exhibiting at So'ton.

I also bought from Index Marine stand at LIBS, so they may be at So'ton.

Another vote for Searolf - very good service. As reviews said that like for like leds were dimmer than halogens I replaced my saloon overhead 5 watt bulbs with 12 led G4 side pin fittings. These are a bit bright - I wish I had saved a bit of cash and power and gone for the 9 led fittings. The 12 led versions would be good for festoon reading lamps.

What a marvellous bit of thread drifting PeterR. I do feel it's exactly like a real yottie bar when people ask questions about LED lighting and one of the more interesting responses is how many pot markers one finds in UK coastal waters. Lovely stuff
